Juan Soto traded from Washington Nationals to San Diego Padres

The San Diego Padres, currently second in their division in the National League, have made the most beautiful operation of the summer transfer market of the MLB. On Tuesday, they acquired Dominican Juan Soto, one of the league’s stars, who had played for the Washington Nationals for four and a half years.

Soto, 23, was a big part of Washington’s 2019 World Series victory. He’s been voted All-Star for the past two seasons and finished second in the MVP rankings last year. Juan Soto leaves the moribund Nationals this season (worst team in MLB for now) for Padres well placed to play in the play-offs.
