Jordan Clarkson isn’t worried about trade rumors

Amid the constant maelstrom of rumors pointing to an inevitable rebuild in Salt Lake City, which revolves around the seemingly imminent trade of Donovan Mitchell, Jordan Clarkson has been especially calm.

Clarkson’s name has been cited in the negotiations that would currently be held by the Utah Jazz, New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers, with Russell Westbrook and Mitchell himself as the central axes of the operation. However, the guard He has acknowledged not being worried about any of the rumors that concern both the team and him.

“I’m very relaxed,” Clarkson admitted during a recent basketball campus celebration at Farmington Gymnasium, according to the Deseret News. “My mood is: I’m always fine. My vibe is always good. It does not change. This is my ninth year in the league. I know how the basketball business works.”

Thus, Clarkson has decided to take this scenario philosophically as he is subject to decisions and situations that are beyond his control. In any case, the player has recognized that he would like to continue defending the Jazz shirt. “Am I happy in Utah? Yes. Do I like my partners? Yes. I met the new coach and I love it, “Clarkson continued. “This is all part of how things are. But my approach never changes. I will wake up every morning and be who I am, doing what I always do. Everything’s fine.”

Clarkson has played a total of 189 games with the Utah franchise since joining it in December 2019. His averages with the team amount to 16.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists. In 2021 he was awarded the Sixth Man of the Year award.
