Italian Simone Raccani breaks wrist on third “stage day” at Quick Step-Alpha Vinyl | cycling

Simone Raccani must have imagined his internship at Quick Step-Alpha Vinyl differently. The 21-year-old Italian broke his wrist in a crash in the Tour of Burgos.

Thanks in part to a 3rd place in the final standings of the Valle d’Aosta, Simone Raccani was able to prove herself in the coming months as an intern at Quick Step-Alpha Vinyl.

In his 3rd day of training, things already went wrong for Raccani. In the final of the 3rd stage of the Tour of Burgos he crashed and broke his left wrist.

“Currently, he is being cared for in a hospital in Burgos, where he will have stitches and where his wrist will be put in a cast. He will then travel to Herentals for the continuation of his treatment.”
