One of the training schools that the Institute of Sport and Physical Culture of the State of Morelos (Indem) has is archery, which is developed in the Centennial Sports Unit of Cuernavaca for everyone from the age of nine. of age, at the beginner, intermediate and advanced levels, without the need to have their own material.
This was reported by the general director of Indem, Germán Villa Castañeda, specifying that registrations are open to be part of the classes taught by Professor Lot Froilan Méndez Mendoza, being on Tuesdays from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. hours, as well as Saturdays and Sundays from 09:00 to 12:00.
It should be noted that Bruno Altamirano, one of the children’s archers forged entirely within the Indem training school, represented Morelos at the last Conade 2022 National Games (National Commission for Physical Culture and Sports), traveling with everything paid to Hermosillo , Sonora, to compete against the best athletes in Mexico in their respective category.
Likewise, Germán Villa highlighted that, who also trains in said training school is the so-called “Robin Hood Morelense” Máximo Méndez Ortiz, the first athlete in the history of the state to win medals in archery; he did it at the Conade Nationals, winning two silvers and two bronzes in the Monterrey 2021 edition, in addition to two golds, silver and bronze in Hermosillo 2022.
