Gyeongsangnam-do Goseong-gun Athletes, about 580 people participated in the 61st Gyeongsangnam-do Citizens’ Sports Festival |
[시사일보=김영도 기자] The Goseong-gun Athletic Association will form a team of 580 players, including 423 players and 157 officers, to participate in the 61st Gyeongsangnam-do Athletic Championships.
The event, which will be held normally in three years, will be held for four days from August 26 to 29 in Yangsan-si, and 31 events, including three demonstration events, will be held at 43 stadiums.
Goseong-gun has 23 sports (Athletics, Swimming, Soccer, Baseball Softball, Tennis, Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Boxing, Weightlifting, Ssireum, Judo, Kendo, Archery, Shooting, Badminton, Taekwondo, Bowling, Golf, Bodybuilding, Football, Gateball, ground golf), he plans to show off the skills of an athlete in Goseong-gun that he has honed in the past.
Goseong-gun Lee Sang-geun said, “I hope that no matter what the outcome may be, I will do my best and finish the tournament well without any injuries.”
Baek Chan-moon, president of the Sports Council, said, “We will spare no effort to support the athletes so that they do not have any difficulties in participating in the competition, and I hope that this competition will serve as a great foundation for the development of sports in Goseong-gun.”
