• 15.-21. almost all the strongest duos will participate in the August European Championship, starting with matches in the group tournament.
• 2019 champions Tina Graudiņa/Anastasia Kravčenok is in Group C, where Lesanne Plasset/Alexis Richards (France), Tara Lahti/Annina Parkinen (Finland) and Klara Windeleff/Sofia Bisgaard (Denmark) will also play.
• 2015 champions Aleksandrs Samoilovs/Jānis Šmēdins will fight in Group B, which also includes Robert Mewsen/Alexander Brouwer (Netherlands), Piotr Kantor/Maczej Rudol (Poland) and Simon Pfrechsner/Philipp Huster (Germany).
• At the end of June, it became clear that two Latvian beach volleyball duos qualified for the EC, but four more fell short. There was a possibility that some higher-ranking duets would withdraw their applications – thus, the closest reserve players would still have the opportunity to participate.
• Edgars Toč/Kristians Fokerots and Anete Namiķe/Varvara Brailko stayed immediately below the line. In the end, it turned out that the ranking was missing by 41 and 1 point, respectively. There was hope until the last moment, but it did not come true.
• On August 9, the winners of the Nations Cup Namiķe/Brailko became members of the European Championship for a few hours and eventually returned to the reserve list.
• 11.-21. In August, the European Championships in several sports will take place simultaneously in Munich – beach volleyball, athletics, kayaking and canoeing, cycling (road, mountain, track, BMX), gymnastics, academic rowing, climbing sports, table tennis, triathlon. In Munich, it is the biggest multi-sport event since the 1972 Summer Olympics.
• We remind you that at the 2021 European Championship, Latvia was represented by Tīna Graudiņa/Anastasija Kravčenoks (fourth place), Aleksandrs Samoilovs/Jānis Šmēdiņš (ninth place) and Mārtiņš Pļaviņš/Edgars Točs (ninth place).
