They were looking forward to the new Premier League season under a new coach, but Manchester United fans would like to quickly forget about the start of the year.
Erik ten Hag’s first competitive match on the United bench was really bitter after the defeat against Brighton, and what happened on and off the pitch corresponds to the mood the famous club is in already some Friday.
Footage of the start of the warm-up appeared on social networks, with fans booing the thirty-seven-year-old Ronaldo. They did not forgive him for trying to take his legs on his shoulders in the summer and stamp out a transfer. Additionally, a video of the whistle was posted on United’s official Twitter account. Even that proves a few things.
However, the day of doom for the Red Devils was just beginning. The victory of Brighton was arranged by the German Pascal Gross with two goals in the first half, and even the booed Ronaldo, who entered the game only in the 53rd minute, did not save United.
And so the frustration of the fans of the Red Devils only crystallized in a fight in the stands, swearing, grabbing by the throat and a fight between the spectators, who normally cheer side by side.
