From the Municipality 225 thousand euros for the “Beyond the school” project – PORDENONEOGGI.IT

PORDENONE – The municipal council, on the proposal of the councilor for youth policies Alberto Parigi, approved a loan of 225 thousand euros for the “Beyond the school” initiative.

It is a project that offers about a hundred children from Villanova, aged 11 to 18, extracurricular opportunities such as cultural, musical and radio activities, theater, after school, aggregation and sport, from judo to parkour.

“Beyond the school”, already active since 2013, is based on a network of collaboration between subjects. In the front row there is the Ragazzi foundation at stake together with the Libertas sports center of Villanova, and “Growing on the tatami”. A nucleus that collaborates and in turn involves the school, the parish, families, social services. In addition to financial support, the Municipality participates in the co-planning of activities for adolescents and pre-adolescents.

The 225 thousand euros made available by the municipal administration’s youth policies are divided into 75 thousand euros for each of the years 2022, 2023 and 2024. “This is an important additional economic support – explains the councilor Paris – compared to that provided from “Ragazzi in Gioco”, a meritorious foundation that makes its educators available for free after-school and aggregation services. “Beyond the school” is a winning model, based on a network that provides children with concrete activities to prevent marginalization ”.

If the educational and economic heart of the project is the “Ragazzi in Gioco” foundation, “the support of the Municipality allows us to expand the activities”, reports Katia Bolelli of the Rig Foundation itself. “Beyond the school – she adds – has contributed in a determined way to bring down the school dropout”.

Rig offers its activities every day from 1.30 pm to 6.30 pm (info on www.ragazzingioco.it) in the premises of the Cristo Re parish, creating an environment that combines help with homework with the aims of aggregation and socializing. A transversal reality where young people with difficulties coexist with others who simply want to be together.
