One of the many areas where the Roberto Clemente Foundation lives on the legacy of its mentor is the production of baseball clinics for children at risk.
HARTFORD, CT- This Saturday, August 20, 2022, the free Baseball Clinic for boys and girls ages 6-14 will be taking place at Dunkin’ Donuts Park, home of The Hartford Yard Goats.
This initiative, which is carried out under the direction of the Los Amigos Softball League in alliance with the Hartford Yard Goats and Dressler Law, aims to strengthen the connection between the youth baseball league and schools to foster commitment and passion for the sport of the hot ball
Likewise, promote the legacy of the great Puerto Rican icon of world baseball, Roberto Clemente, encouraging youth leadership and service opportunities in their communities and schools.

Roberto Clemente is a key icon in the Latino community, his impact transcends far beyond baseball, because although he is the first Latin American and Caribbean player to enter the National Baseball Hall of Fameis also remembered for his human quality, his pride in his Puerto Rican heritage and especially for defending the rights of minorities.
Clemente lives on in the Hartford metro area, his number 21, which he wore as a player throughout his major league career, displayed on the field wall inside Dunkin’ Donuts Park. Roberto Clemente is the second player to have his number ‘retired’, meaning that it cannot be used by another player on his shirt.
This Baseball Clinic seeks to celebrate his memory both on and off the field.
Coaches include Luis Roberto Clemente (son of Roberto Clemente), Víctor Rivera, and former students of the MLBPlayer Association (TBD).
