Throughout the summer, the Aperitifs of the Cave des Vignerons Londais are an unmissable event for summer visitors and lovers of rosé from Provence.
Since mid-July, the Cave car park has been full of tourists, in a nice and friendly atmosphere. A moment of relaxation much appreciated by all.
On August 4, François de Canson, the mayor, took advantage of this summer sequence to present the medal of the City of La Londe-les-Maures to Cathy Arnaud (8th Dan), triple world champion in judo (1984, 1987 and 1989), bronze medal at the 1988 Olympic Games and 4 times European champion in the discipline (1988, 1989, 1990 and 1991).
Currently, the high-level sportswoman officiates as a national technical adviser, in charge of the development of judo in New Aquitaine.
“Cathy Arnaud is a very great French sportswoman and that is why I wanted to reward her. I don’t forget what she did for our town during the 2014 floods. She came to the Cave des Vignerons and took part in the refurbishment of our building,” explains the mayor.
The Chief Magistrate adds:“I chose to give her the Ville à la Cave medal, because I know that Cathy is a great epicurean and that she particularly appreciates the wines of La Londe”!
