Feyenoord must buy back shares of investors VvF

Feyenoord is getting better financially. With the sale of Marcos Senesi and the imminent sale of Fredrik Aursnes, millions are flowing in again. Feyenoord watchers Dennis van Eersel and Sinclair Bischop react positively to journalist Frank Stout’s suggestion to buy back the shares of the Friends of Feyenoord.

”Yes! I am in favor of taking a definitive step now,” says Van Eersel in the RTV podcast Rijnmond. The shares must then be bought back in full and not in small percentages, as happened before corona. “Then you are rid of that aspect within Feyenoord.”

Bischop agrees and reports that it will be an investment of around thirty million euros: ”Feyenoord has been repaying in the background for years, because it still wants to sell the shares if a good investor comes along. Then you also lose your say, but you can’t escape it if you really want to take that big step.”

Investor Pim Blokland indicated at the beginning of this year that he was still open to talking with Feyenoord. “When we started we said that as soon as Feyenoord is financially healthy, we should see if we could get out. If it is good for Feyenoord, then there is always something to talk about, but there is really no must.”
