Lewandowski scores twice on his birthday

Second competitive game – and the first two goals!

In the away game at Real Sociedad, Barça new signing Robert Lewandowski (34) needed exactly 46 seconds for his first goal in the Catalan jersey.

After preparatory work by Alejandro Balde (18), the former Bayern striker was on the spot in goalscoring style. With his weaker left foot, he pushed the ball into the left corner from close range.

In the 68th minute, Lewandowski was rewarded with a second goal on his 34th birthday. Youngster Ansu Fati (19) put the ball across in the penalty area – Lewandowski was free and took the chance ice cold, nailing the ball into the bottom right goal to make it 1:3.

In the end, Barça triumphed 4-1, jumping to fifth in the table with four points.
