Marie Benoit (WTA 362) defeated Francesca Curmi (WTA 696) 6-4, 6-2. When it was demolished, it was 6: 4, 2: 2. So Benoit made short work of Saturday’s resumption, winning four games in a row to reach the semi-finals.
In the semifinals at 3 p.m., Benoit will meet number four seeded Swede Caijsa Wilda Hennemann (WTA 352), who won her quarterfinals against Anna Turati from Italy in three sets 6:2, 3:6, 6:4.
The other semi-final will be contested at 1 p.m. by Julia Riera from Argentina (WTA 429) and Aneta Kucmova from the Czech Republic (WTA 446). Riera threw the Turkish player Cagla Büyükakcay (WTA 295) out of the tournament (5: 7, 6: 4, 6: 4). Aneta Kucmova defeated number three seeded Fanny Stollar (WTA 374) from Hungary in two sets 6:2, 6:4.
