Salaberry-de-Valleyfield – Three baseball players living in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield were able to compete against the best athletes in their age group during the provincial championships in the 13U AA category held in Lévis.
The pitcher Samuel Denis, the player of 1is goal Félix Hakier and the 2e goal William Benoit represented the Lac Saint-Louis region with the Cardinals, a team made up of the best elements chosen from among the three teams of the elite pee-wee Tigers of the West Island of Montreal . The club led by head coach Vince Assalone had in its ranks another Campivallensien, Martin Benoit, who held the position of assistant coach.
The Cardinals faced fierce competition in their quest to win the Quebec title and finished the tournament with a record of one win and three losses.
