Elvis Andrus member of select list of shortstops in the MLB

The current player of the Oakland Athletics, Elvis Andrús, has reached an important mark in his career and joins a select list of players as part of the shortstop that has had the most games at the position in baseball history, according to data from Baseball Reference.

In position number 30 and surpassing Donie Bush by reaching 1,867 games in position six on the diamond. He has played 16,202.1 innings, which is the most he has covered since his start in the Major Leagues with the Texas Rangers.

In hours Elvis Andrus will enter the list of the 30 players with the most games played in @MLB like shortstop.

It will be the fifth Venezuelan in the group:

Elvis Andrús is the only one of the club’s players who is active. Within the list there are also four Creole players who accompany the Maracay player, with Omar Vizquel being the leader of the entire history in this line. Also, there are Luis Aparicio (#3), David Concepción (#19) and Ozzie Guillén (#26) in that section.
