El Hadj apologizes to Anderlecht after he refused a match: “Don’t experience an easy period” | Jupiler Pro League

Anouar El Hadj’s career is currently not progressing as many thought a few seasons ago. Under Vincent Kompany, the youth international charmed with 22 base places. That dropped to 8 last year and now El Hadj didn’t even play a single minute during the competition.

Anderlecht therefore wanted him to gain rhythm in the U23 in second division. A “demotion” that El Hadj refused. The Purple & White then gave the midfielder a sanction and put him back on the promises.

On Instagram, El Hadj now apologizes: “I am aware that I made a mistake by not wanting to play with the promises,” he posted.

“I now want to apologize for that. I let my emotions take over. Look, I’m not having an easy period, but now I’ll work even harder to get there.”

“I also know that the club and sporting leadership give many opportunities to the young players. I will remain available for the club of my heart anyway, regardless of whether that is the A-team or the promises.”
