Coruña announces the incorporation of Djordje Simeunovic (Serbia, 27 years old, 201 cm), a player who occupies the position of small forward and who comes from Rouen Métropole Basket of the French Pro-B.
Djordje is a Serbian player who has developed his professional career in Balkan basketball, making his debut in 2013/14 at the age of 18 in the Serbian first division with Smederevo 1953 and later playing for different Serbian teams (KK Mega Basket 2014/17; KK Vrsac 2017/18; OKK Beograd 2018/19) or Bosnians (BC Igokea 2019/2020), teams with which he played in the first national division in addition to simultaneously participating in the Adriatic League (ABA League, a league in which The most important Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian, Slovenian and Montenegrin basketball clubs are represented). In the 2020/21 season he returns to Serbian basketball with KK Napredak Aleknisac and in February he is hired by the Bosnian team OKK Borac with whom he plays in the Bosnian league and the second division of the ABA league. He ends the season playing 45 games, averaging 16.3 points (31% T3), 8 rebounds, 2.5 assists in 31 minutes of play. Last season he participated in the French Pro-B in the Rouen Métropole Basket team where physical problems in the middle of the season hampered his performance, playing 20 games with an average of 9.3 points (28%T3), 5.3 rebounds and 2 assists in 24.7 minutes.
He is a very versatile player who can contribute and help in various game positions. His main quality and the one he stands out for in particular is his intelligence in reading the game and his ability to score both near the rim and from outside positions.
