Digitization, transparency and efficiency: the keys to the Gesdeportiva system used by the CAB

The Argentine Basketball Confederation has been using the Gesdeportiva system since the beginning of 2022, allowing the full record of the activity and each of its components (players, teams, referees, coaches) digitally and accessible from any device. It is a digital system at the national level that will save time and money, that will make everything more transparent, fluid, orderly and efficient.

This sports management software, with a history of more than 20 years and used in Spain and Uruguay, among others, has the details of each game in a digital spreadsheet, as well as the competitions (fixtures and position tables), allowing each component to access its unique and transferable credential.

In this way, the information is democratized and equalized, also safeguarding the data in each club and also recording the activity of players, their history and their performance.

In a 100% digital way, avoiding any paperwork and physical sending of information, any sporting and administrative situation is resolved through its use, thus improving communication between the parties. Through its use, the club makes significant savings in digitization and sustainability by avoiding paper forms.

For its use, a single and equal annual fee ($1,500) is paid throughout the country. The entire system is banked in civil association accounts and not in personal accounts.

What are the risks of not using it?

Not being within this system entails risks such as the impossibility of verifying insurance or accessing current accounts, thus not knowing the destination of the funds. In addition, players who are outside the system are considered free, without belonging to any club.

Likewise, the clubs cannot access training rights for the players (Law 27,211). They cannot participate in national championships or be summoned to the different national teams.

The GES includes:

-All types of competition management: categories, phases and groups, with their calendars.
-Registration of teams and players, with digital license.
-Invoicing and settlements in a few clicks.
-Reports in real time.
-Communications about changes of matches and application of sanctions.
