Dayro Moreno was honest and told why he did not go further in football

Dayro Moreno is the eighth top scorer in Colombian football with 191 annotations, while in his career he adds 300.

On the pitch, no one doubts his goalscoring qualities, but outside of them has always generated controversy for his behavior.

During an interview with the Win Sports channel, the native of Espinal (Tolima) and who will turn 37 in September, was honest.

“I’m big and I’m realistic. I have heard the same from many people. But I have been blessed by God with life and with football. If I had had a little more order in my life, I would have succeeded like James (Rodríguez) and Falcao (García)”.

However, the scorer assured that this is no time to mourn for what he did not do and, on the contrary, he feels satisfied with the career he has had.

“One cannot cry over spilled milk. I am grateful for everything they do to me in Colombia. Leaving a mark on Colombian soccer, for me, is a great pride”, he added.

“Where I went I scored goals. In the teams that hired me I always came out as a scorer. That always fills me with a lot of pride and satisfaction,” he said.

This year, Dayro has 15 goals in 26 games.
