Like every year, SOC basketball volunteers took advantage of this month of August to organize a training course for their graduates. Two very intense weeks for the youngest, the U7s and U8s who were numerous. Indeed, no less than 35 young people took part in this first week, supervised by senior members of the club.
Second week from Tuesday August 16th with always fun games and more technical exercises on the program which allowed the participants, always almost as numerous, to progress in their game and their technicality.
On the last day of these courses, the young people had the chance to welcome Cédric Heitz, professional basketball coach in Chalons Champagne, Reims basketball in Betclic Elite who in all simplicity shared his experience, his advice and his know-how with younger. Having evolved in Céret, this great basketball specialist experienced the warm atmosphere of the Julien room and on vacation in Leucate, he wanted to come and support the volunteer coaches of the SOC. He also participated in the training planned by following this internship between the U13s and the U15s which ended with a good opposition.
Session concluded with a photo in the presence of Mayor Edouard Rocher and his sports assistant Yannick Lefèvre. An enriching experience for the young people of the club that they are not ready to forget, a big bravo to volunteers and to Cédric Heitz.
