The search for a striker is very difficult at Club Brugge. It already grabbed a number of attackers and Blauw-Zwart has tracked down a Ligue 1 striker. Will there be an agreement this time?
According to journalist Sasha Tavolieri, Club Brugge has contacted Stade Rennes about Serhou Guirassy. That is a 26-year-old striker who is currently a substitute at the club of Jérémy Doku. Rennes took him away from Amiens in the summer of 2020 for no less than 15 million euros and it hopes to recover that sum. However, that seems to be very spicy, since his market value according to Transfermarkt is 10 million euros.
Last year, Guirassy was quite good at shooting as a substitute. In all competitions together, he was good for 12 goals and 3 assists in 48 matches (1,523 minutes). The attacker is still under contract until mid-2025, so it promises to be tough negotiations between Club Brugge and Rennes.
