On September 10, 2022, the “Day of Sports” will take place again on Residenzplatz. The building and old town committee unanimously approved the civil law approval for the already traditional event in the first meeting after the summer break on August 25th, 2022.
Around 20 Salzburg sports clubs and institutions present themselves and what they have to offer on Sports Day and visitors can easily try out more than 20 different types of sports – from American football and wheel gymnastics to climbing or judo. The taster offers are aimed at all generations and people with disabilities. The aim is to make popular sport public and to present new sports – by trying them out yourself, in conversation with representatives of the sports clubs and last but not least through the demonstrations of top professionals from the various disciplines.
The construction begins on September 7th, the actual event takes place on September 10th. from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., will be dismantled by September 12th, whereby the moderation stage, the pagoda tents and two storage containers will remain in place and made available for the Salzburg Business Run on September 15th. be used again.
