Chiense badminton is celebrating, because between August 11 and 14, the a II Valid National Sub-17 and Seniors which took place in Madrid, Cundinamarca, where they obtained three bronze medals distributed as follows:
- Laura Galeano, in the female individual category.
- Miguel Molina, in the men’s individual category.
- Sara Estrada, in the sub-17 female doubles category.
Among these medals stands out that of Laura Galeanowho at just 15 years old decided to participate in the senior category, showing his potential at such a young age.
Faced with the medals won, the coach Pedro Sanchez commented the following: “This is a process that, from the minor to the major categories, has been generating recognition at the national level. A process of many years, that with patience and above all discipline of the athletes will bring great results to Chía”.

These 3 medals are added to the 6 obtained in the Junior National Valid which took place in Santa Rosa de Cabal, Risaralda, and which were the following:
- Women’s doubles sub-15: Sara Estrada, silver medal.
- Under-15 men’s doubles: Juan Arias.
- Mixed doubles sub-15: Juan Arias and Sara Estrada.
- Men’s doubles sub-13: Martín Chacón.
- Under-11 men’s doubles: Mathias Jurado.
To conclude, say that this event also functioned as a qualifier for the next XXII National Sports Gameswhich will take place the following year in the Coffee Region.
