TTC Verl turned 50 in March. The milestone birthday is to be celebrated on Saturday with an open day.
Verl (matte) – In March, the Tennis Tournament Club (TTC) Verl turned 50 years old. He celebrates this on Saturday with an open day with a family character.
Even Ansgar Brinkmann, known as the “white Brazilian” as an Arminia player, pays a visit to the tennis club on Gütersloher Strasse for a celebrity doubles match. The former professional footballer should grab the bat alongside District Administrator Sven-Georg Adenauer. Michael and Charly Held will be on the other side.
Fun and relaxed sayings are guaranteed from 4.30 p.m. Other entertaining doubles are also planned. Among other things, with the two new club coaches Gerrit Kuhlmann and Frederike Sturm.
“When the sporting highlight comes on the red ashes of the TTC, the open day is already in full swing,” reveals Verena Echterhoff, who is in charge of the TTC birthday party.
From 3 p.m. the TTC opens its doors with a bouncy castle, face painting and a tennis Olympics. “Of course there will also be coffee and cake,” promises the organizer. At 3.30 p.m. it will be official for the first time when the successful TTC youth teams will be awarded.
And then again from 6:15 p.m. “Short speeches and a few awards should be made so that the association can thank the members who have remained loyal to the TTC,” says Echterhoff.
There is also live music. “Echtland” provide the sound for the anniversary. Appropriately, they lead over to the anniversary party with classic rock from the past 50 years.
