Daniele Cavaliero yesterday announced the withdrawal from the basketball played. The 38-year-old spoke to Il Piccolo about it.

A particular memory of his career. “A sweet and bitter moment at the same time. Game 3 against Brindisi, playoff 2020/21. I am in the locker room with Fernandez, Coronica, Da Ros, Bussani, Cerne, the staff. I wanted to say a few words because I felt that I didn’t know what the future would give us. We had shared many moments and having my three “brothers” Juan, Andrea and Teo by my side was important. A teammate relationship ended, not a human one of course. We feel every day, there is a deep friendship. We understood when one of us was struggling and we were ready to spend ourselves to help him, we pulled the group. “One for the building” was the motto. Wonderful people. I am happy to know that Fernandez is facing his new life with enthusiasm and joy, he knows how to give himself to others, I miss his laughter, his hugs. Coronica was a perfect captain, a giant heart, brother forever. Da Ros may seem gruff and reserved for those who don’t know him but he has a big heart from here to Cantù ”.
The most beautiful victory. “Mostly moments come to mind. Successes and more. Promotion with Trieste. The Italian Cup. At the Athens Oaka with the national team, having to mark Sloukas but I wanted to work for Spanoulis. The derbies with Fortitudo against Virtus in Bologna. The Trieste-Udine derbies. Ivo Marie who shows me the newspaper circulated in the Chamber before the meeting, pointing out to me that they write that the most penalizing mismatch for Trieste concerns the play team. “They talk about me and you, Dani.
