Beşiktaş Women’s Basketball Team has recruited Nigerian-American striker Michaela Onyenwere.
According to the statement made by the black-and-white club, a contract was signed with Onyenwere, who was selected as the “Best rookie of the year” in the WNBA in 2021, as part of the transfer efforts before the 2022-2023 season.
Born in Nigeria in 1999, the 1.83 meter tall forward played at the University of California in the NCAA. Playing for New York Libertry in 33 games in the WNBA in the 2021 season, Michaela Onyenwere averaged 8.3 points and 2.8 rebounds. Playing in Spain’s Spar Citylift Girona team in the 2021-2022 season, the basketball player averaged 9.7 points and 2.7 rebounds in 11 league games he played here.
Michaela Onyenwere most recently played in 25 games for the New York Libertry in the WNBA, averaging 5.2 points, 2.2 and 0.4 assists.
