Samoilovs/Šmēdiņš defeated the Germans Simon Frechner/Filip Huster with 2:0 (21:15, 21:17) in the decisive match for qualifying for the elimination tournament on Wednesday. In the first game in the group, the Latvian men’s duet recognized the superiority of Poland’s Piotr Kantor/Macej Rudol (1:2) on Tuesday.
The European Championship in Germany will end on Sunday with the men’s final.
