Oaxaca de Juarez.- The Institute of Physical Culture and Sports of Oaxaca (Incude) reported that the 2022 Basketball Clinic with Bob MacKinnonprofessional trainer NBAreached a full quota this Friday, one day after the call was issued.
“Tremendous response from the sports community in oaxaca at the invitation of the clinic given by Bob MacKinnon. Full quota! Thank you”, wrote Monserrat Heinze, general director of the institute.
The clinic aimed at basketball coaches, totally free, will take place on August 13 and 14 at the Hermanos Flores Magón Sports Complex, in the city of Oaxaca.
In accordance with the call issued by Incude and the Telmex FoundationMacKinnon is the only coach in NBA G League history to have recorded more than 200 wins.
The clinic has a nine-point agenda, which includes individual attack for players, offensive construction, individual and team defense, as well as defensive principles, among others.
It is not the first time that the US-born coach has come to Oaxaca to teach this sport; in 2018 he also gave a clinic in which 250 people signed up, the state government recalled in a statement.
MacKinnon has led or spoken at over 300 camps/clinics in 18 countries. He works with the NBA on many of its programs abroad and with the Telmex Foundation in Mexico, running coaching camps and youth programs alike.
