The Dutchwoman conquers the double with a championship record; Sara Gallego, fourth in Europe in the 400 meter hurdles and very close to bronze

Eleven hundredths were missing from Sara Gallego to achieve the bronze in the 400 meter hurdles of the European Championships in Munich this Friday. She was fourth. 54.97 marked the Catalan in a final in which the Dutch Femke Bol, two days after her gold in her 400, achieved the double and the championship record (52.67).

The Norwegian Karsten Warholm (47.12) also managed to improve the event record in the men’s final. He hasn’t had a good time this year but he’s back.

Maple, also fourth

Dani Arce (8:25.00) stayed at the gates of the podium. He was fourth in the 3,000m hurdles final, with Sebas Martos (8:26.68) sixth. Raitanen, from Finland, won in a hard-fought race (8:21.80). Pol Retamal also finished sixth in the final of 200 (20.63) in which the British Hughes (20.07) won. In the women’s final of 1,500, without a Spanish presence on this occasion, Muir won gold. Spain will be in the final of the women’s 4×100 and the men’s 4×400. In addition, Mariano García qualified to compete in the 800m final.
