Jakarta (VNA) – The 11th Southeast Asian Games for the Disabled 2022 (ASEAN For Games) ended on August 6, after more than a week of competitions.

The Delegation vietnamienne won a total of 183 medals including 65 gold, 62 silver and 56 bronze during these games, thus ranking third in the ranking by nations, after Indonesia and Thailand.

In particular, after five years of the regional sporting event being canceled or continuously postponed due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnamese athletes have broken 16 records, including those set since 2007, and surpassed the number of records recorded during the last edition in Malaysia.

The 11th ASEAN Para Games took place from July 30 to August 6 in the city of Surakarta, Indonesia’s Central Java province. The Vietnamese delegation included 153 members, including 18 coaches and 120 sportsmen who competed in eight disciplines, namely athletics, swimming, weightlifting, badminton, table tennis, chess, judo and archery. the bow. -VNA
