AS Roma: José Mourinho sorts out ex-Bundesliga professional – FOOTBALL INTERNATIONAL

José Mourinho (59) has clear goals in his second season as Roma coach. In the league it should go higher than sixth place last season. In the Europa League, ‘The Special One’ and his eleven want to stay in the competition for as long as possible.

He set the bar very high in international business in May. The Italian capital club defeated Feyenoord 1-0 in the final of the inaugural Conference League, thereby claiming the premiere title in this competition.

On the way to even more success, Mourinho remains consistent as ever and doesn’t worry about big names. “Il Tiempo” reports that the Portuguese Justin Kluivert (23), son of Dutch legend Patrick Kluivert (46), has sorted out. The offensive player should no longer train with the professionals in the future and can look for a new club.

This should be a huge disappointment for the Dutchman. Most recently, Kluivert was loaned out to French club OGC Nice for a year. In the 2020/21 season he played for RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga. Under coach Julian Nagelsmann (35), he played in 19 league games, including scoring in the spectacular 3-3 win against FC Bayern. But he couldn’t really assert himself against the competition in Saxony.

Allegedly, Nice, with coach Lucien Favre (64), wants to loan Justin Kluivert for another season. Roma, on the other hand, would like to give him up completely after four years at the club. According to “Il Tiempo”, Premier League promoted FC Fulham are interested in signing. So far, however, there have been no negotiations.

Kluivert joined Roma at the age of 19 as a promising youngster from Ajax Amsterdam. He was previously in the Europa League final with the Dutch, but lost 2-0 to Manchester United and their coach José Mourinho.
