There was a fire again between Rusbend and Warber – for the fourth time in just 14 days. The Bückeburg police are investigating and assume arson. Local residents are wondering: is a fire devil up to mischief?
Rusbend/Warber. Witnesses discovered flames in a stubble field off State Road 450 near Rusbend around 1:20 a.m. Wednesday. The control center immediately sent the Rusbend and Meinsen-Warber-Achum fire brigades. The volunteers managed to quickly fight the flames with water from the tank of a fire engine and prevent worse. Straw lay just a few meters from the fire, and there is a residential building and a sawmill not far from the scene of the fire.
While searching for clues, police discovered the remains of a firework. “It’s possible that he set the stubble field on fire,” says Chief Inspector Matthias Auer.
