Archery, Seveso asserts itself at the Italian indoor championships: here are the medals

The edition of the 2022 Italian Indoor Championships, held in Rimini, was particularly fruitful for several Brianza archers admitted to the tournament after having collected points in competitions held during the winter season.

The company of the Bosco delle Querce di Seveso Archers for this review brought nine athletes of the Olympic bow category, almost all belonging to the youth classes, to the Romagna shooting line, and the satisfactions were not lacking.

Despite the presence of highly qualified athletes, Marco Grassi ranked 15th in individual competitions for juniors and Luca Bergamo 43rd. In the same female category, an excellent performance by Beatrice Prandini who, with her seasonal record of 563 points out of 600, almost reached the podium and finished in fourth place, while Camilla Bergna entered 18th position. After completing the individual competitions, Giorgia Rota also came into play to complete the junior team. Thanks to the sum of the scores, the three athletes won a beautiful silver medal in the class.

In the girls category Michela Parinetti got the 29th position and Greta Ormenese the 36th. In the men’s sector the Lentatese William Sioli, after a fierce challenge point by point, arrow after arrow, climbed to the third step of the podium, taking home the bronze medal.

Prestigious results were achieved by senior Tanya Giaccheri who in the individual competed for the Air Force, winning the silver medal with 579 points just one point behind Tatiana Andreoli (Fiamme Oro). In the playoffs with the overall title at stake, she finished in fourth place. Beatrice Prandini was instead defeated in the round of 16. This athlete with Tanya Giaccheri and Camilla Bergna competed in the Bosco delle Querce team which, for some unfortunate coincidences, stopped in the quarter-finals.

From Rimini Claudia Nardecchia (Burarco Vimercate) returned to headquarters with the silver medal won in the compound bow, girls category. Finally in the naked arch, master category, Gianluigi Alberti (Compagnia Arcieri del Sole – Solaro) after the ninth place in the individual competition was promptly redeemed and with the Solarian athletes Massimo Volpi and Fabio Capoferri won the silver medal in the teams.
