Archery – Indoor European Championships, Lucilla Boari tenth after qualifying arrows

LASKO (Slo) The European Indoor Championships in Lasko opened yesterday, with the 60 ranking round arrows of all the competing divisions, the main continental event of the indoor season. In total, 30 nations are represented with over 300 archers competing: 147 in the Olympic, 108 in the compound and 44 in the bare bow. The Italian national team showed up with 32 athletes between senior and junior, obviously including the Rivaltese Lucilla Boari, bronze at the Tokyo Olympics and reigning Italian indoor champion, a title that she will defend in Rimini in the tricolor event at the end of the month. At the end of the qualification, Boari and the other blue Vanessa Landi travel hand in hand with 577 points in ninth and tenth place; 27th Tatiana Andreoli with 560. At the top of the ranking is the Ukrainian Polina Rodionova (585), second the Moldovan Alexandra Mirca (584), third the Dutch Gaby Schloesser (584). In the team competition, Italy is fifth with a score of 1714 in a ranking that sees Ukraine in first position (1745), France in second (1730) and Belarus in third (1725).
Today the first day of qualifying until the round of 16, then tomorrow will continue with the individual challenges that will decide the finalists and the team matches, also in this case up to the semifinals. Friday is a day entirely dedicated to the team finals, while on Saturday the event will end with the matches that will assign the continental individual titles.
