Alie Sesay’s response after the PSIS vs Persik match won by Mahesa Jenar

TRIBUNJATENG.COM, SEMARANG — PSIS Semarang extended the positive trend of never losing at home in the continuation of the BRI Liga 1 2022/2023 match, namely at the Jatidiri Stadium in Semarang.

Entertaining Persik Kediri in the PSIS vs Persik match on the fifth week of this season on Thursday (18/8/2022) yesterday, PSIS managed to win 2-1 through goals from Fredyan Wahyu Sugiantoro in the 27th minute and Jonathan Cantillana in the 57th minute.

The match was Mahesa Jenar’s third home game so far.

Two previous home matches, Mahesa Jenar drew 1-1 against Rans Nusantara FC, and won 2-1 over Barito Putera.

The additional three points become PSIS’s valuable capital ahead of the away match against the host Persebaya Surabaya, Tuesday (23/8).

PSIS Semarang defender Alie Sesay said he was grateful for the victory his team got against Persik Kediri.

“A good match against Persik Kediri. We got a valuable point today and it is very important for our team,” said Alie Sesay.

It’s just that PSIS’s victory was still marred by a record of failing to keep a clean sheet.

In the first five matches so far, PSIS has always conceded goals.

This record extends the record always conceded from the preparation period.
