Alexander Zverev competes at the Davis Cup in Hamburg – Olympic champion leads the German squad

Zverev is currently working on his comeback after a ligament injury in his right ankle, and the Olympic champion is still open to starting at the US Open (from August 29).

Oscar Otte, who is also part of captain Michael Kohlmann’s squad, is about to make his comeback after knee surgery.

“If you haven’t played for a long time like the two of them, there are always a few unknown factors. But the quality that Alexander and Oscar bring to the team justifies the small risk,” said Kohlmann.

In addition to Zverev and Otte, Kohlmann relies on Jan-Lennard Struff, the German double is formed by Tim Pütz and Kevin Krawietz. A second place in Hamburg is enough to qualify for the final tournament from November 22nd to 27th in Malaga.
