A new young Swiss player at Union Neuchâtel

While the team has resumed training since August 8, Union Neuchâtel announces the engagement of Swiss international M18 Nikola Damjanovic. This interior player (positions 4 and 5) was born on July 26, 2004 and is 202 cm tall. He played last season in the LNB under the jersey of the Swiss National Basketball Centre. In his 20 regular league games, he averaged 3.6 points and grabbed 2.2 rebounds.

The club has also fixed its friendly matches: Saturday September 3 at 6 p.m. at La Riveraine against Nyon, Wednesday September 7, 2022 at 6 p.m. in Yverdon against Friborg Olympic as part of the Landolt Cup, and, still in Yverdon, Friday September 9 at 7 p.m. against Scafati Basket (A2 Italy). There will also be a game against an opponent to be determined, again in Yverdon, (according to the results of the Landolt Cup), Saturday September 10th.

Union will also play on Saturday September 17 in Renens against Monthey and will travel to Germany on Sunday September 25 to challenge the Wiha Panthers Schwenningen (Pro A Germany, 2nd division).

The championship should start on Saturday October 1 (the Federation has yet to formalize the date) with a trip to Geneva for Mitar Trivunovic’s men. Then, on Saturday October 8, the Neuchâtelois will face Friborg Olympic in the Supercup.
