A BOLA Foreign Minister reveals his decisions after a meeting with the COP, federation and (judo) athletes

On Tuesday, the Minister of State for Youth and Sport, Joao Paulo Correa, announced the decisions resulting from a meeting with the President of the Portuguese Olympic Committee, the President of the Portuguese Judo Federation and the Geodocs who signed the open letter, in which they criticize the FPJ .

The meeting’s decisions include “amending the amount paid to each athlete in support of travel, in accordance with the official timetables of the General Administration.”

“The President of the Portuguese Olympic Committee and I met today with the President of the Portuguese Judo Federation (FPJ), who appreciated the suggestions of the group of athletes who signed an open letter and decided the following:

1 – Responding to the request that participation in international exercises and competitions abroad results from planning the preparation process for the Olympic Games to be jointly organized by the FPJ, the coach and the athlete concerned;

2 – Adjust the amount paid to each athlete in support of travel according to the official schedules of the General Administration.

3 – After the World Cup, re-evaluate the national training system and listen to the national coaches and coaches.

We also met with the group of athletes who signed the open letter to which the decisions of the Portuguese Judo Federation were communicated and discussed.
