Sixty players were able to compete on the four outdoor courts of the Tennis Club de Cozes. Five categories were represented. The three classics (women’s singles, men’s singles and men over 60) but also consoling, a rare proposition in tournaments and yet very appreciated by players, especially for the losers of the first round.
Despite the heat wave, the tournament was able to take place in excellent conditions and the spectators were able to watch great tennis matches.

New this year, two multi-chance tournaments, respectively over two days, were organized for young players. These tournaments, which take place over a single day, allow players to play several matches without risk of elimination.
“The enthusiasm generated by the success of these two days has led the managers of the Tennis Club de Cozes and Jérémy Regagnou, the organizing referee, to the renewal of this type of competition next year, including for adults”, assured the president, Adrien Smit.
