Jalisco athletes continue to give what to talk about in the World Games of Birmingham 2022 and it is that Jorge Martinez won today the second gold medal for the Mexican delegation.
The first gold medal fell yesterday through the also Jalisco, Michael Becerrain compound archery, and now Martínez added another gold metal to Mexico in the roller skating.
It was in the 100 meter race with lanes where Martínez climbed to the top of the podium after finishing with a time of 9.972, thus beating Li-Yang Kuo from Chinese Taipei and Italian Duccio Marsili, who took silver and bronze, respectively.
This is thus the best historical result of Martínez in this World Cup fair, leaving behind the bronze medal that he won in the Cali, Colombia 2013 edition.
For his part, also from Jalisco, Mike Paezthe bronze medal was hung today in the 10 kilometer points route test, in speed skating.
Mexico So far, it has added two gold medals and one bronze, the three won by athletes from Jalisco, in these World Games celebrated in Birmingham, United States.
