Our semi-final opponents have been decided. And that will be a real title test!
With 1:0 aet, France prevailed in a passionate quarter-final against defending champions Holland, playing on Wednesday (9 p.m., live on ZDF, DAZN and here in the BILD live ticker) in Milton Keynes against our DFB women for a place in the final of the European Championship.
Girls, this is going to be really difficult!
France tricky, offensively strong, fast. Ties Holland in behind, but shoots chance after chance.
First a shot at the post by Cascarino (28′), then Stefanie van der Gragt clears twice and just before the line. Shortly before the end there were two more big chances, but Holland fought their way into overtime.
Then came the salvation: Janssen puts Diani in the penalty area (99th minute). Ève Périsset takes the penalty and converts it halfway to the left – the decision (102′)!
Girls, it will be really difficult not to let these strong French women into the final!
