Ted Leonsis, the owner of the National Basketball Association (NBA) team Washington “Wizards”, shared his thoughts about the upcoming season, when Bradley Beal and Kristaps Porzingis will finally play together on the court, writes “The Athletic”.

“We know that the NBA is a story about stars. Keeping a star is like signing a good free agent. We’re eager to see Beal and Porzingis play together. Both are experienced and unique players, I think it will be a good tandem,” said the confident billionaire.

It was previously reported that the “Wizards” team retained the main star, one of the league’s luminaries, Bradley Beal, who signed a five-year contract for $251 million. The American has become one of ten players in the history of the league and currently the only active basketball player whose contract includes points for a full ban on substitution.

In February, Porzingis, who the Washington team acquired as a result of a trade from the Dallas Mavericks, became a Wizards player. The Liepaja player has not yet managed to play even one game with Biel, as the American missed the final part of the last season due to an injury. The Latvian basketball player’s contract with the team is valid until 2024.
