With crazy Wimbledon turn
Djokovic’s magic is a mystery
Did Novak Djokovic help in his victory in the Wimbledon quarter-finals against Jannik Sinner? The tennis superstar uses a remedy on the bench that has already enabled him to make a big turn.

Novak Djokovic (35, ATP 3) cannot be broken in Wimbledon. Despite being 2-0 down in sets, he clinched his 26th consecutive win on Church Road against Jannik Sinner (20, ATP 13). “The turning point was the toilet break,” jokes Djokovic after the quarter-finals. “I refreshed myself and spoke a few encouraging words to myself in the mirror. That’s really true. When the circumstances are such that nothing positive happens on the pitch, sometimes things like that are necessary, »said the six-time Wimbledon champion.
But is there actually something else, more solid behind the crazy Djokovic turn? During a break, the TV cameras show the Serb being served with a bottle by a ball boy.
While the contents are unknown, given the wild gestures towards his box, it can’t just be water. And the way he inhales it, it’s more of a powder than a liquid, too.
Already resorted to “magic potion” in 2020
As the German journalist Jannik Schneider writes on Twitter, Djokovic used the same miracle cure in 2020 during the Australian Open final against Dominic Thiem. “The liquid is a magic potion that my physio prepares in his lab. I can’t say more about it,” Djokovic replied when he was asked about the miracle cure after winning the final.
Will he be able to do without the ominous miracle cure in the Wimbledon semifinals? Djokovic will meet British Cameron Norrie (26, ATP 12) on Friday, against whom he won the only previous comparison at the 2021 ATP finals 6-2, 6-1. (cmu)
