Will Jamal Musiala play in the storm center in the future?

Even though Mathys Tel isn’t a 1-1 replacement for Robert Lewandowski, Bayern are unlikely to sign another striker this summer. The people of Munich want to spread Lewandowski’s successor over several shoulders. According to current media reports, Jamal Musiala could also play a role.

In addition to newcomer Sadio Mané, Serge Gnabry should also play much more often in the center of the attack. The 27-year-old has often played this role in the German national team and is quite open to it.

According to reports, a double leadership with Mané and Gnabry is Julian Nagelsmann’s preferred solution to replace Robert Lewandowski. However, the Bayern coach has other options, one of which is called Jamal Musiala.

Where will Musiala play in the future?

In the past season, Musiala was usually used in attacking wing positions and in central midfield. But what many Bayern fans don’t know is that the DFB international played as a striker in his youth. As the “tz” speculatesit cannot be ruled out that the 19-year-old will be used again as a real striker in the future.

One thing is clear: With the departure of Robert Lewandowski, Bayern will hardly be able to fall back on their former basic structure in a 4-2-3-1 system with a target striker. Nagelsmann prefers a 3-5-2 or 4-2-2-2. In the 3-5-2, Musiala could act as a double leader together with Mané or Gnabry. Alternatively, a double ten with Thomas Müller would also be possible in a 4-2-2-2.

Due to the fact that Musiala can be used flexibly, the youngster can hold several positions in the Bayern offensive and thus become a real joker for Nagelsmann and Bayern Munich.
