Liverpool’s goals were scored by Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah’s penalty, and Darwin Nunez. Manchester City can only reply once through Julian Alvarez.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola praised the performance of his players. Guardiola is proud to accept defeat, after all, he said that his team’s preparation time was only short.
“We only have two weeks, so we can’t expect much,” he said Sky Sports.
“I said to the players, how proud I am to see them give everything on the field,” he added.
“We still have one week to improve some aspects (before the Premier League starts-ed,” he continued.
Is Pep Guardiola worried about Manchester City’s loss to Liverpool?
“I’m not worried about that,” he insisted.
“The reality is we have 11 months ahead for such an intense competition including the World Cup,” concluded the Spaniard.
