The new point guard of Brescia will be Troy Caupain, a big name who knows European basketball well and that could give a new imprint to Coach Magro’s team. He started his career in Cincinnati, where he was the pivot of the team and participated in the PIT, the event reserved for seniors out of college and this is a characteristic common to many other Brescia players. He was not chosen in the draft but played two seasons in the G League in the Lakerland Magic, a team affiliated with Orlando (also 4 appearances in the NBA). In between the two years in the G League there was his first Italian appearance in Udine, where he showed himself as one of the best players in the A2. Then a lot of Europe: a season in Israel with Hapoel Holon and a handful of matches in Ostend, one in Germany in Ulm, a team that now has a sort of special bond with Brescia and the last in Turkey. at Darussafaka, where he collected excellent averages: 12.5 PT, 5.9 AS and 4.3 RB.

Ha physical and technical skills of the highest level that he uses in an exceptional way, 193 cm tall, weighs 95 kg, he is 26 years old but already has a fair amount of experience both in the G-League and in the old continent. He is not an athletic slasher but if he can take the first step it is very difficult to stop him when he attacks the iron, he has an absurd contact management also because he has a very strong body in the upper part that allows him to reach the basket by making the most of his muscles and body.
Assist & Playmaking
He has a soft pace and plays at not very high rhythmsis a floor general capable of creating for oneself and for others. He has an excellent vision of the game, is a great distributor and passer. He knows how to find companions with excellent pick and roll passages but also in static situations
Speaking of assists, it will be interesting to see him again on the pitch with John Petrucelli with whom he played in Ulm and the hope is that a good connection will be created between the two in order to accelerate the setting of the new German point guard.
