Stefan Medina is a regular in Monterrey from Mexico. Until then, nothing new. But let him score a great goal from medium distance, that is out of the script.
The Colombian defender has been highlighted by most Mexican media, after scoring a real gem in the victory of ‘Rayados’ by 3-2 over America, in a game valid for the Apertura tournament of Mexican soccer.
His great goal came in the 9th minute, when his team seemed dominated, and it was a tremendous shot from outside the area, with power and location, to leave goalkeeper Ochoa without reaction:
It was not an easy victory because at 22 he equalized from a penalty, his teammate Zendejas put América ahead with a great left foot, and then Rayados went with everything for the comeback.
At minute 66, Meza equalized with a header and at 74 it was the Uruguayan Rodrigo Aguirre who sentenced the victory with another great score, a pass from Joao Rojas.
With this victory, which had a Colombian flavor, Monterrey is sixth in the standings, with 3 points, while América is in 13th place, with one point, on the second day of the Apertura.
