Fabio Fognini is one hell of a wag.
A few hours after publishing an Instagram story where he questioned Rafael Nadal’s injury via an article with circus music in the background, the Italian curtly backpedaled this Thursday with a text addressed to journalists.
“Dear journalist friends. I would like to tell you with these simple lines that I have NEVER referred to a champion like Rafa. And I could never afford it. And now stop writing to report all you want and wrongly. That said, I wish Rafa and his team the best of luck for this Wimbledon.”wrote a visibly embarrassed Fabio that his doubts about Nadal’s injury had caused so much noise.
