Another bad luck for Biniam Girmay. The leader of Intermarché-Wanty-Gobert hit the cobblestones during the 5th and last stage of the Tour de Wallonia. The Eritrean remained battered on the ground and had to stop the game injured. The severity of his injury is not yet known.
Before the start of the Tour of Wallonia, Biniam Girmay was still fighting. “Back to work”, he posted on his social media with a photo of a cork with boxing gloves. A nod to the eye injury he sustained.
Today Girmay is injured again. A heavy fall at 100 kilometers from the finish means the premature end of his Tour de Wallonia.
