The 31-year-old playmaker sealed his future by accepting a rich contract extension at Portland.

Already under contract until 2025 at the rate of 42, 45 and 48 M$ per season, the 31-year-old playmaker has, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic et Stadium, says yes to a two-year extension and just over $120 million. The second year of this expansion is a player-option. According to ESPN, “Lady” should receive $58.5 million in 2025-26 and 63.3 in 2026-27. That’s a total of about $270 million over the next five years for the sixth pick of the 2012 Draft, who has spent his entire career in Oregon so far.
Six-time All Star, Lillard was only able to play 29 games last season (24 pts, 6.6 wt, 4.2 rbs/game) due to an abdominal injury. He missed the entire second half of a 2021-22 campaign that saw CJ McCollum traded and the Blazers finish 13th in the Western Conference, with 27 wins and 55 losses. Season at the end of which Portland missed the play-offs for the first time since 2012-13, the first season of Damian Lillard, who turns to 24.6 points, 6.6 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 1 steal of career average per game (711 games).
